Welcome to 800score.com-
the leading internet test-prep company.
The GRE is now
a CAT
As of April 1999, the GRE
(the standard test for non-business grad schools) is only
available as a Computer-Adaptive Test (CAT) that adapts to your
performance as you take the test. The test is no longer
available as a paper-and-pencil exam. 800score.com
has a free
sample GRE test section and prep strategies for the new GRE CAT.
Since this is a recent change in the
GRE's format, few of the test prep books on the market have information
about the new Computer Adaptive Test.

How to make pacing on
the CAT easier
In January 1999, 800score.com
introduced the patent-pending GRE Pacer system. The CAT design
places too much of a premium on awkward pacing strategies. To
quote the company that makes the GRE, "Time Management
is Key." The GRE Pacer tells you what question you should
be on, acting as a training wheel to teach you the pacing strategies
and putting you in control of your pacing. The system is built-in
for you to use with our 5 practice GRE CAT tests and is also
available as a watch for use during the actual exam. >>
